The DRAFT PLAN
Consultation on the draft Plan shown on this page ended on Sunday 8th September 2024. This page has been retained simply to illustrate the story of how the Plan was prepared.
The Plan was updated in the light of comments received, and Kinlochleven Community Council agreed at its October 2024 meeting to submit the updated version to the Highland Council for registration.
The draft Kinlochleven Local Place Plan was shared for everyone to check in August and September 2024. It’s based on all the ideas put forward since we started in January, which are summarised here.
The Plan may have looked finished, but it wasn’t. We were very clear that everyone in the village needs to check whether it says what’s right for the community.
People could see and comment on the draft Plan on this website or in the Library, Leven Centre and Community Trust office. A community cafe event was organised in the Leven Centre on Saturday 24th August for anybody who wanted to discuss the plan in person.
The consultation was widely publicised around the village through posters, flyers, the e-bulletin, social media and direct to all school pupils.
